4th suspect arrested in gang-involved home invasion robbery in Bloomington

A fourth suspect has been arrested in a March home invasion robbery in Bloomington believed by investigators to be part of a series of such robberies along with assaults and extortion crimes, authorities said Wednesday.

On Tuesday, June 11, sheriff’s investigators arrested Vincent Solarez, 58, of Upland, in connection to the home invasion in which two people were robbed of $12,500 in cash, and one was assaulted with a firearm, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

Detectives Tuesday morning located Solarez driving a vehicle near Campus Avenue and Washington Boulevard in Upland and detained him after a traffic stop.

Solarez was arrested on suspicion of robbery, kidnapping to commit robbery, false imprisonment and conspiracy to commit a crime and was being held in the West Valley Detention Center in lieu of $1 million bail, according to San Bernardino County Jail logs.
